Constructed 1860-1869

Noble Hardee House

One of the last unrestored houses in Savannah’s Landmark Historic District, the Noble Hardee House has a special grip on the imagination. Its Italianate proportions, scale, rhythm of elements, and interplay of light and shadows contribute to a sense of beauty and balance–a window into the past.

The ongoing rehabilitation is dedicated to preserving the building’s unique historic character.

History

The Italianate-style design, materials, and craftsmanship firmly root this house in the architectural traditions of 1860s Savannah. While the design reflects the past, the house remains a living part of the city’s ongoing historical narrative.
